The Itineraries of "italian salumi"
  Veneto

There is no district in this Region which does not contribute to its rich gastronomic heritage. As far as charcuterie products are concerned we recommend:

  Pieve di Cadore

In the characteristic square one can visit the Palazzo della Magnifica Comunità da Cadore; not far away the birth-home of Titian.
On the table "polenta e osei", stewed roe-deer and the soppressa veneta.

  Santo Stefano di Cadore

The traditional houses of the area are mainly made of wood.
From a gastronomic point of view, we recommend the hotel and restaurant “Passo Monte Croce - Kreuzbergpass” on the border with Val di Sesto.

  Sappada

In the high valley of the Piave river, you will find the excellent speck from Cadore.
A special mention to the restaurant “Keisn”.

  Abano Terme

The thermal springs of the town are well known. In the restaurants the tradition of the products from the hill: soppressa veneta, very tasty, risotto with mushrooms and quail, and polenta e osei.

  Battaglia Terme

Famous for its curative waters. Beautiful noble villas rise with the background of the hills. Hand made charcuterie products can be found here.

  Arqua' Petrarca

Where Francesco Petrarca decided to retire attracted by the sweetness of the places. Visit the house of the poet and eat at the restaurant “La Montanella” –"gosling with fruit" (recipe from the 1600’s) is the speciality – excellent mixed charcuterie products, soppresse, Prosciutto Veneto Berico- Euganeo.

  Monselice

The ancient "Mons Silicis", mount of flint, which supplied Venice for the paving of Saint Mark Square. To be seen, climbing to the Rocca, the Castle, the old Cathedral, the Sanctuary of the Seven Churches and Villa Duodo. A gastronomic stop at the restaurant “La Torre”.

  Montagnana

This plain rural town is amongst the most famous and intact walled towns in Europe. Moreover it is the main centre of production of the PDO Prosciutto Veneto Berico - Euganeo.

To finish, with regard to soppresse venete, we suggest a stop in Treviso – soppressa trevigiana – and in the valleys of Pasubio, north of Vicenza, where the soppressa vicentina is produced.
