2018 - The first time of cured meats in Taiwan

IVSI participated in the third edition of the Italian Cuisine Week in the World (Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel Mondo) in November 19th-25th 2018, an international event, strongly supported by the Italian Government and public institutions, led by the Farnesina in close collaboration with the MIPAAFT choosing to carry out its promotional activity in a completely new destination for Italian cured meats: Taiwan.

The eastern country has opened to imports of Italian deli meats and pork just eight months before, exactly from 9 March 2018, and from this date there is the possibility to know and taste the authentic Italian salumi. IVSI together with the Italian Trade Agency of Taipei, has organized some events to introduce the Italian charcuterie to the press and local operators and to promote opportunities for commercial meetings with the Institute's associated companies.
Specifically, in November, training sessions were held for Italian companies with local experts, an event for the Taiwanese press, business meetings between Italian companies and local operators, and courses on Italian deli meats at the Kay Ping Culinary School, the most important cooking school in Taiwan, held by the Italian chef Cristian Broglia.
