2018 - SalumiAmo at Festival Montréal en Lumière and in Toronto

Between February and March 2018, SalumiAmo® is back at the Montréal en Lumière Festival (, an important Canadian cultural and gastronomic event - 19th edition in 2018 - which has established itself as one of the biggest winter festivals in the world.
The initiative, in collaboration with the local offices of the Italian Trade Agency, is structured into a series of events in Montréal and Toronto, to taste Italian deli meats, support Italian producers with their business through the set up of b-to-b meetings, and to spread at best the knowledge about autheintic high quality Made in Italy productions.
Among these events, also two master classes took place on Italian salumi held by chef Cristian Broglia. An international program of traditional products in the National Year of Italian Food (2018), which once again involves consumers, press and professionals in the sector.

2011 - SIAL Toronto exhibition

In May 2011, Italian deli meats were presented at SIAL in Toronto, the most important trade fair for the agri-food sector in Canada and one of the events most attended by North American operators. The Italian Trade Commission (ICE) offered a tasting of Italian deli meats plus information material to spread the knowledge of Italian agri-food products. In addition, at a conference organised in collaboration with ASSICA (Italian Association of Meat Industries) and Federalimentare, IVSI gave a speech on Italian Salumi and “Italian-sounding” deli meats, i.e. products sounding Italian, but not produced in Italy, which exploit Italy's fame.

2005 - "Montréal en Lumière" Festival

In February 2005, Italian deli meats made their début on the Canadian market during the Festival Montréal en Lumière, an event that concentrated all the city's cultural, gastronomic and media activities into just 10 days. The Festival's sixth edition featured Northern Italy and its Honorary President for the gastronomic section was the renowned Chef Gualtiero Marchesi. In this context, during the workshop organised by the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) office in Montréal, IVSI had the opportunity to present and offer some typical Italian deli meats for tasting to an attentive audience of journalists and operators, as a preamble to the eagerly-awaited opening of the Canadian market to a wider range of Italian Salumi.
